Our core business is the provision of AD Part Q / Secured by Design Accredited Mild Steel Communal Entrances and External Common Doorsets to STS202 BR2 level of Burglary Resistance, designed specifically for multi-occupancy buildings on Mixed Tenure / Social Housing New Build and Regeneration Schemes, Sheltered Accommodation, and Education /Commercial Facilities.
These doorsets have been Independently Tested to the correct Communal Doorset Standards and are available in a range of aesthetically pleasing styles – Our range of SBD STS202 BR2 Certified Communal Entrance Doors are the first to achieve Passivhaus accreditation in the UK market.
Secured by Design is a scheme which covers many aspects of security protection in the built environment. The scheme focuses in depth on doors and is prescriptive about their security levels.
The testing is carried out by one of two approved testing houses and may be tested and audited by either the Certisecure or LPS schemes.
NEOS are part of the Certisecure Scheme and are approved to STS202 BR2.
“Secured by Design” Legacy
The robust testing regime of STS202 BR2 / LPS1175 SR2 ensures that the construction of the doorsets will withstand high and often rough treatment (especially Bin & Cycle Store Doorsets). As advised with the latest Homes Design Guide – 27.3 “Certification to STS202 BR2 / LPS1175 SR2 can demonstrate a more robust construction which is more able to withstand the day to day use in a communal application than a door tested to PAS24” This gives assurances that the doors will maintain the security and integrity of the building for an expected lifespan of 25 years plus and not create security issues arising when inferior door models fail or break down and need replacing.

- Single doors 1650 x 3000mm
- Double doors 2600 x 2800mm
Fixed side screens and over-panels have also been tested.
